The ECGB is proud to announce its outstanding achievements at the South African Responsible Gambling Foundation (SARGF) Awards 2025, held during the Responsible Gambling Summit on Friday, 14 November 2025. These awards celebrate national excellence in promoting responsible gambling, regulatory leadership, and consumer protection.
The ECGB earned recognition in several categories, highlighting its commitment to responsible gambling across the province. The Board received the award for Best Responsible Gambling Public Awareness Initiatives in recognition of impactful and community-driven campaigns that reached diverse audiences.
In addition, the ECGB was awarded Best Responsible Gambling Regulator Messaging in Advertising for using clear, ethical, and compliant messaging that prioritises public safety and responsible play. The Board also received recognition for Best Marketing / PR Campaign, acknowledging strategic communication efforts that enhanced visibility and strengthened responsible gambling messaging.
Furthermore, the ECGB earned the Silver Award for Regulatory Collaboration, reflecting outstanding partnerships with government, operators, and sector stakeholders to strengthen effective regulation and promote responsible gambling practices.
These national accolades reaffirm the ECGB’s commitment to safeguarding communities, encouraging responsible behaviour, and enhancing industry standards. The Board continues to set a high benchmark for responsible gambling in South Africa.
