Queens Casino Invests in Maths, Science and Technology Education in Komani

Queens Casino, in partnership with the Eastern Cape Gambling Board (ECGB), invested in material to support Maths, Science and Technology (MST) education in Komani through a meaningful school development initiative. Queens Casino officially handed over MST kits to Nkwanca High School and Lukhanji Primary School during a ceremony held on Tuesday, 28 October 2025.

The educational resources are designed to support practical learning and improve understanding in key subjects such as Mathematics, Physical Science, and Technology. Teachers at both schools welcomed the initiative, noting that access to practical tools will enhance classroom delivery and stimulate learner interest in critical STEM fields.

The ECGB stated that the initiative aligns with its strategy of supporting community development through education. The Board emphasised that strengthening STEM education is essential to preparing learners for future careers in engineering, innovation, and technology-driven sectors.

Queens Casino highlighted its commitment to social responsibility, noting that investing in education remains one of the most impactful ways to empower communities. The organisation said it was proud to partner with the ECGB on a long-term initiative that supports academic growth and opportunities for learners in Komani.

The handover ceremony, held at Lukhanji Primary School, was attended by school management teams, educators, learners, and community stakeholders. Both beneficiary schools expressed their appreciation for the support and acknowledged the positive impact the tools will have on teaching and learning.
