Gambling Regulation and Consumer Protection

The purpose of this programme is to implement the ECGB Act and other statutory mandates through conducting investigations, licensing, compliance, revenue and environmental audits and gaming control and law enforcement, as well as protecting and educating consumers and the public about responsible gambling.

Research and Public Education

The purpose of this programme is to build a strong foundation of valid and reliable empirical research to inform operational, policy advisory and public interest activities such as consumer protection. A robust research agenda is developed and updated annually to reflect evolving research priorities. The articulation of research goals allows the ECGB to undertake strategic research projects that best support broad regulatory responsibilities.
